Key Features

Spring-Applied Fail-Safe Mechanism
Deceleration and holding torque are mechanically generated by pre-engineered compression springs. The system remains engaged during total electrical power loss, isolating the drivetrain until the electro-hydraulic thruster or pneumatic actuator is energized.

Non-Asbestos Composite Linings
Fitted with molded, steel-backed non-asbestos friction linings exhibiting a stable friction coefficient (μ= 0.35 - 0.40) across the entire operating temperature spectrum. Linings are rated for a minimum wear life of 1.2 million braking cycles under rated thermal loads before requiring replacement.

Automatic Wear Compensation
Integrated with an automatic side-interlocking shoe clearance adjustment mechanism. This mechanical linkage automatically compensates for lining wear during each release cycle, maintaining a constant air gap and ensuring identical response times throughout the lifespan of the lining.
