SPZ Series Symmetrical Brake Arm Disc Brakes

Purpose and Main Characteristics:
-
Widely suited for service braking and emergency braking of equipment including container cranes, unloaders, steel plant casting cranes, hydropower overhead cranes, ship lifts, and cable cranes.
-
Adopting an optimized structure inspired by localized design concepts, it abandons the traditional offset structure of arm disc brakes. The spring force acts centrally, producing no torque on the brake arms. This design extends the service life of shaft sleeves and improves transmission efficiency.
-
The optimized configuration of the transmission system enables a symmetrical braking mechanism with a single thruster, dual force application points, and dual braking points. It delivers high braking torque within a compact installation space.
-
Braking force is applied symmetrically at two points on the brake disc, which compensates for the radial force exerted on the shaft.
-
Integrated functional configurations include a user-friendly manual release device, an equal backlash device, and automatic friction plate wear compensation with status indication. No manual adjustment is needed after friction plate wear occurs.
-
Delayed opening or closing of the brake can be achieved by installing an up valve or down valve on the thruster.
Operating Conditions:
- Ambient temperature: -20 °C to 50 °C. For temperatures below -20 °C, replace the thruster's operating oil with YH-10 aviation hydraulic oil or install a heater as required. Refer to the Ed thruster specification sheet for detailed information.
- The ambient working environment must be free of flammable, explosive, or corrosive gases; relative air humidity ≤ 90%.
- Installation altitude shall comply with the provisions of GB 755-2000. Anti-corrosion models are required for outdoor applications exposed to rain, snow, corrosive gases, or corrosive media.
- Power supply: Standard configuration is three-phase AC 380 V, 50 Hz. (60 Hz or alternative voltage options are available upon request. Please check the thruster nameplate and specify requirements when placing orders in advance.)
