Description

YP Series Electro-Hydraulic Disc Brake

product-1255-1254

Application:

The YP Series Electro-Hydraulic Disc Brake is a high-performance, multi-functional advanced braking product equipped with cutting-edge features including automatic shoe clearance equalization and automatic brake pad wear compensation, which ensures effortless maintenance throughout its service life; the integration of optional limit switches allows it to deliver the required interlock protection signals to the host PLC system, making it ideally suited for deceleration and holding (parking) braking applications across a broad spectrum of modern large-scale specialized equipment such as loading and unloading machinery, lifting and conveying equipment, metallurgical installations, mining apparatus, and engineering machinery.

Main features:

  • The interlocking shoe gap equalization device and automatic shoe positioning mechanism maintain consistent clearance between the two brake shoes at all times without any adjustments during operation, completely eliminating brake pad flutter on the brake disc.
  • Self-lubricating bearings are fitted at all main pivot points, eliminating the need for lubrication during service; this design ensures high transmission efficiency, responsive actuation, and a brake engagement time of 0.25–0.4 seconds.
  • The stepless automatic brake pad wear compensation device preserves a constant shoe clearance and braking torque throughout the service life, removing the hassle of frequent manual adjustments.
  • Built-in springs and a torque scale enable convenient, adjustable braking torque.
  • The brake pads feature a plug-in design for easy replacement, and we offer a range of pad materials (including semi-metallic and powder metallurgy options) for users to select according to their specific needs.
  • Integrated with our company's advanced new-type thruster, the brake delivers responsive actuation and an extended service life.

Additional devices:

  • Manual release device
  • Release (disengagement) limit switch: Indicates whether the brake is released normally, and can provide interlock protection signals
  • Brake pad wear limit switch: Automatically triggers a signal or provides interlock protection when the brake pad wear reaches the limit threshold

YP Series Electro-Hydraulic Disc Brake Operating Principle: In the event of a power failure to the host equipment, the brake's driving unit (thruster) will also lose power and cease operation. The spring force of the brake spring is then transmitted to the brake pads via the two brake arms, which causes the brake caliper to exert a specified clamping force and generate braking torque, thus achieving braking action. When the host mechanism is powered on again, the thruster produces a thrust force to extend the push rod. This forces the brake spring to compress further, which in turn causes the brake arms to spread outward bilaterally. As a result, the brake pads disengage from the brake disc, the clamping force and braking torque are eliminated, and the braking state is released. This brake series is widely suitable for deceleration and holding (parking) braking applications across a broad range of equipment, including modern large-scale specialized loading and unloading machinery, lifting and conveying equipment, metallurgical machinery, mining equipment, port machinery, engineering machinery, as well as wind turbines and conveyor belts.
