Product Overview

The BYWZ5 series explosion-proof electro-hydraulic brake is mainly designed for mechanical braking of driven mechanisms in equipment such as lifting, transportation, metallurgy, mining, port, and construction machinery. Its explosion-proof performance complies with the specifications of GB 3836.1-2000 Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres – Part 1: General Requirements and GB 3836.2-2000 Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres – Part 2: Flameproof Enclosures "d". The explosion-proof markings are "ExdI" and "ExdIIBT4", which are applicable to coal mines and Zone IIA/IIB locations respectively, where explosive mixtures of combustible gases and air may form, and which fall within temperature classes T1–T4.This series of products boasts the following features: smooth braking, high safety and reliability, easy maintenance, energy efficiency, low noise, long service life, stable friction material performance, adjustable braking torque, and convenient brake lining replacement. Additionally, various optional accessories can be fitted per user requirements to satisfy diverse operational needs.
Operating Conditions
- Ambient medium temperature: -20 ℃ to +40 ℃ (shall not exceed +40 ℃ or be lower than -20 ℃).
- Maximum altitude: ≤ 1000 m.
- For the installation site, the average maximum relative humidity in the wettest month shall not exceed 90%, while the average minimum temperature of the same month shall not exceed +25 ℃. Condensation on the product surface due to humidity variations is permissible.
- Maximum allowable ambient pollution degree: Grade 3.
- Power supply: Three-phase AC, 127 V ~ 1140 V / 50 Hz (60 Hz applicable).
Working Principle
The BYWZ5 series electro-hydraulic block brake consists of a brake frame and a matched explosion-proof electro-hydraulic thruster. When energized, the electro-hydraulic actuator activates, driving its push rod to extend rapidly and releasing the brake lining via a lever mechanism; when de-energized, the actuator's push rod retracts quickly under the force of the brake spring, engaging the brake lining to achieve braking via the same lever mechanism.
